UK CHARITY CONDEMNS RECENT GAZA ATTACK

Human Relief Foundation (HRF) an international aid-agency with its headquarters in the city of Bradford has been supporting the people of Gaza since 2002 and more recently the victims of the 2009 crisis through its offices in Jordan. Over the last few years, HRF has been helping the Palestinian people by delivering emergency aid supplies including medicine, clothing and shelter.

HRF is appalled at the circumstances surrounding the event that took place on 31 May 2010 in the Mediterranean. Dr Nabeel Al-Ramadhani, Director of HRF commented that “the humanitarians that were en-route to delivering the much needed aid had sincere and genuine intentions. I am shocked at the harsh treatment that these unfortunate people have had to endure. I completely condemn this type of provocation however I would urge the international community not to lose their focus and vision from the plight of the people in Gaza and their continued suffering.”

Over a million-and-a-half people have limited access to clean hygienic water and many basic essentials - they are urgently waiting for help. HRF is appealing to the local, national and international donor community to come forward and help the Palestinians who continue to endure terrible misery and pain.
