NABA
is the first
British Arab organisation of its kind which address issues relating to British
Arab community in the UK.
The
concept of a nationwide organisation for British Arabs, encompassing all Arabs and
friends of Arabs in the UK, has been long awaited. It stems from a need to address the
interests of this sizeable British community and to encourage a collective and
positive contribution in all aspects of British life within the democratic
framework of multiethnic Britain. It is also essential for the sake of our
future generations to ensure that they reap the rewards of our move to
Britain. This is the first
real opportunity to put Arabs on the map of Britain as a significant ethnic
group and a step towards a larger European Arab contribution.
