NEW ARABIC FILM CHOSEN TO COMPETE AT FORTHCOMING FILM FESTIVAL

Feeding Five Hundred is one of the results of a very interesting initiative developed by the media company twofour54 who are based in Abu Dhabi (http://twofpur54.com/en). They are driving the development of the creative skills of young Arabs across the MENEM region (Middle East and North Africa. And with some considerable success particularly in terms of film productions: 177 film festival acceptances and 23 awards to date. twofour54 supports talent and content development, creativity and young entrepreneurs. To enable this they have set up 'creative lab' which loans equipment, and gives mentoring. Since its establishment in 2010 creative lab has worked across all media platforms, including short film, music, digital such as apps and webisodes, and completed 57 projects in which over 500 young Arabs have participated. This signals an example of the growing interest in media and filmmaking amongst young people in Abu Dhabi and the wave of creatives coming out of this young.
